Chapter 2: What is Neurodiversity? |  Section 7: Expert Testimonials
Martina Covo | Tarkett Showroom Manager
“I have a background in architecture and interior design, and I’m also a mom of two.
My oldest, Alejandro, is a brilliant boy who was diagnosed at a young age with Pervasive
Development Disorder (now known as Autism Spectrum Disorder) and Tourette’s
Syndrome. He’s very bright, to say the least, with an IQ of 134. Along with that intelligence
comes a lot of challenges—especially when it comes to classroom acoustics. On a personal
level, it’s been an incredible gift to get to learn how to see the world in a different way.
We want to create spaces and environments that are softer and friendly to all people,
with all different challenges and gifts. To me, that’s what Tarkett Human-Conscious
Design is all about.”
